BAYONNE — A storm some believe may have contained a tornado touched down in Bayonne on Sept. 16, doing significant damage to chemical tanks and other facilities at the IMTT property along the eastern side of Bayonne. Fire Chief Greg Rogers said several tanks were dented and damaged, and a supply shed destroyed by the storm, but there was no leak of chemicals.
