HOBOKEN — The National Transportation Safety Board will hold a public board meeting on Sept. 14 in Washington, D.C regarding the Aug. 8, 2009 plane and helicopter collision that occurred over the Hudson River near Hoboken. A live and archived webcast of the meeting will be available at www.ntsb.gov/Events/Boardmeeting.htm.
All nine people on board the two aircraft died in the accident.
According to an NTSB press release, no flight plans were filed or were required for either flight.
The board members and investigators will be discussing a final report on the investigation, according to an NTSB spokesperson.
A summary of the Board’s final report, which will include findings, probable cause and safety recommendations, will appear on the website shortly after the conclusion of the meeting. The entire report will appear on the website several weeks later.
