JERSEY CITY — The identity of an adult male whose body was pulled from Newark Bay on Sunday might be disclosed today, following an autopsy yesterday.
The Star Ledger quoted Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio, who called the man’s death “suspicious,” and who indicated a tentative identification had been made but would not be released until the autopsy results were known.
“It is not, at this point, considered to be a homicide,” DeFazio was quoted as saying.
Jersey City police were the first to respond to the scene, and the prosecutor’s homicide squad was brought into the investigation, DeFazio said.
