Funeral services were held Aug. 24 at Houghton Funeral Home for Hector Baiza of Union City. He died Aug. 21 at the Meadowland Medical Center. He was a former professional soccer player for Honduras, and was a factory worker for Jonathan Logan Clothing in Carlstadt. He was the husband of Hortensia (Aguilar Baiza); and the father of Hector Raul Baiza and his wife Angela and Maritza Leal and her husband Michael. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services arranged by Houghton Funeral Home of Jersey City.
