Funeral services were held Aug. 23 at St. Anne’s Church, Jersey City, for Giovanni Sale, 79. He passed away Aug. 19. He was a retired optician. He was the husband of the late Fiorenza (Cianfanelli); the father of the late Robert J. Sale; the brother of Uccia, Vanna, and Antonino Sale; the friend of Yunior, Gladys, and Diana-Rosa; and the godfather of Paul Scalia. He is also survived by nieces in Italy.
