A funeral mass was offered Aug. 18 at St. Joseph’s Church, West New York, for Adeline Mancari. She died peacefully at the Harborage on Aug. 14. She attended the Academy of the Sacred Heart, Hoboken, graduated from Nursing School at the old St. Mary’s Hospital in Hoboken, becoming nursing supervisor and nursing instructor at St. Mary’s. Earning her master’s degree from Seton Hall, she later served as guidance counselor for the Hoboken School system for 24 years, retiring in 1978. She was a member of the NEA as well as the NJEA and member of the Sacred Heart Alumnae. Adeline was a great lover of animals, especially her last dog “Beau” and her cat “Fluffy”. She was the daughter of the late Stephen and Emma Cerutti; and wife of the late Mario Zitani and the late Joseph Mancari. Adeline is also survived by her special cousins, Rita Orlich, Dorothy Lynch and Robert Meyer and many other cousins. Services arranged by the Leber Funeral Home, Union City.
