Funeral mass took place Aug. 14 at St. Nicholas R.C. Church, Jersey City, for Walter F. Knapp. He died peacefully at Christ Hospital on Aug. 11. Walter was born in Jersey City, the son of the late Edna L. and Walter Knapp. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a postal worker at the Jersey City Bulk Center for 32 years. Walter was the nephew of Catherine Gray and Joseph and Frank Higgins. He is also survived by many cousins. Services arranged by the Houghton Funeral Home, Jersey City.
