A mass of Christian burial was offered Aug. 14 at Holy Trinity Church, Long Branch, for Franco Di Domenica, 85. He died Aug.10 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Mr. Di Domenica graduated from the University of Naples Law School and moved to the United States in 1950. He was a United States veteran, serving during World War II. He was a professor at Ferris High School in Jersey City before retiring. Mr. Di Domenica lived in Jersey City before moving to Long Branch 30 years ago. He was a philanthropist and active in many areas of art and journalism, and a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church of King Parish, Long Branch. He was predeceased by his wife, Lillian Di Domenica, of Jersey City, in 1986. Surviving are his daughter, Dr. Phyllis Di Domencia and her husband Remo Brunetti of Italy; two sisters, Filomena and Lina, of Italy; two grandchildren, Francesco and Christian, and many nieces and nephews.
