HOBOKEN — The Princeton Review has listed Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken in their list of “best college towns,” awarding the number 13 spot in the 2011 college review book, “The Best 373 Colleges: 2011 Edition.”
Stevens was also named one of the “best Northeastern colleges.” While being recognized as having the 14th best career services in the nation, the college also was listed fifth in the “professors get low marks” category and 15th in the “least accessible professors” list.
According to the Princeton Review, 122,000 students were interviewed at 373 top colleges in order to organize the rankings lists. The book provides 62 lists, ranking colleges on various aspects of life such as best classroom experience, most conservative students, happiest students, and top party schools.
“The 80-question survey asked students about their school’s academics, administration, campus life, student body, and themselves,” according to a Princeton Review press release.
Other colleges that received accolades for having the best college town were located in New York City, San Francisco, Calif., Washington, D.C., Austin, Texas, Boston, Mass., and New Orleans, La.
