Dear Editor:
In almost 27 years in Hoboken, I believe this is the very first time I ever received a tax bill before its due date. Also, I’ve grown used to the practices of former administrations, such as the enclosed letter patting themselves on the back for reducing taxes, invariably to discover the tax bill was actually larger. Did anyone actually fall for that? But this time the tax bill actually was smaller, without any of the self congratulation. Well, let me add the well deserved congratulations due to Dawn Zimmer and her hard working finance committee. Great work!
