Police release photos of suspects sought in WNY robbery

WEST NEW YORK AND BEYOND — In their search for two suspects in the Aug. 9 robbery at a money-wiring store on Bergenline Avenue in West New York, police have released four surveillance camera images of the suspects with hopes that someone will recognize them and contact the police.
“We’re following all the leads we have,” said West New York Police Director Albert Bringa last week. “We’re checking up on several surveillance cameras from other businesses in the area.”
Bringa added that patrols have been “beefed up” in the area and that the case is a priority for the department.
According to police, just before 10 a.m. on Monday morning, the two male suspects entered the store on Bergenline Avenue with their hands covering their faces, tied up the cashier, and stole $300 from the register.
The employee had reportedly just opened the shop and was alone at the time.
Anyone with information about this robbery should contact the West New York Detectives Bureau at (201) 295-5011 or (201) 295-5000.
