Sunrise over the Palisades

Seeing the cliffs from a different perspective

North Bergen residents have long cherished their vantage point on the Palisades Cliffs, which give a unique view of the Hudson River and New York City.
The cliffs are usually the place where residential developments and restaurants spring up, and those locations are often recommended as prime seating for Fourth of July fireworks. Small parks also dot the area, allowing everyone to take in the views.

Besides fireworks and sunsets, sunrises also provide a great landscape. The sun appears from behind uptown Manhattan, with the George Washing Bridge to the left and midtown Manhattan to the right.
Prime viewing locations include Veterans Park in Guttenberg and Fredmon Park in North Bergen, both located on J.F.K. Boulevard East. Below are photos from Wednesday’s sunrise.
