Joe Tagliareni to be Bayonne’s Little League honorary chairman

The Board of Directors and the 60th celebration committee of Bayonne Little League is pleased to announce that Joe Tagliareni has been chosen to be the honorary chairman of the Dinner/Dance on Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. at the Chandelier Restaurant. Joe is the owner of J&J Printing Co., and his family has been a long time sponsor and friend of Little League for many years. They have also supported many other youth and charitable organizations throughout Bayonne. It is a privilege for Bayonne Little League to have Joe as their honorary chairman. He is not the type of person who looks for recognition for all that he and his family do but he should be honored for all that he does to make Bayonne a better community.
Many exciting renovations and major improvements have taken place at Bayonne Little League in the past five years. The mission is to provide an opportunity for all children in the community to participate in baseball and softball. The players, coaches, parents, officers and volunteers of Bayonne Little League wish to thank all those who have given many years of continued support.
This year the Board of Directors have been planning and working on a very exciting project which has been a dream for five years. They are planning to have an indoor year round batting and training facility at the Bayonne Little League complex completed by the 2011 season. It is an aggressive goal but with the help of the community it can be done.
The Bayonne Little League is asking for support by purchasing an ad in their journal or purchasing super 50/50 tickets available at Bayonne Little League, The Big Apple, Clarke’s 19th Hole, Kuhl’s or the Starting Point. All proceeds from the 60th celebration ad journal, dinner/dance and 50/50 will go toward the project. The deadline for the ad journal is Sept. 15.
Bayonne Little League is a non-profit organization and has a 501(c)(3) designated tax exempt status. The ID number is 01-0854978. All donations are tax-deductible.
The Bayonne Little League hopes the community will join them on Oct. 2 as they celebrate 60 years of service to the community. For additional information, contact John Hennessey at (201) 823-0522 or Bayonne Little League at (201) 858-9147 after 6 p.m.
