Funeral services took place July 17 at the Old Bergen Church, Jersey City, for Ruth Williams, 88. She passed away July 14 at Jersey City Medical Center, surrounded by her family. Born in Trinidad, West Indies, she was the daughter of the late James Nerahoo and Margaret (Seecharan). Ruth came to Jersey City 33 years ago and was a devout member of the Old Bergen Church, Jersey City. She was predeceased by her husband James Williams and two sons, Horace William and Paul Williams. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Warren and Robert Williams and Esther Ali. She was the sister of Grace Janurath, Shelia Boodoo, Harry and James Nerahoo. Ruth was also a grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She was the mother-in-law of Sarah Williams, Cynthia Williams and Intaz Ali. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Introcaso-Angelo Funeral Home, Jersey City.
