Thanks and Gratitude!

Dear Editor,

This is a letter of thanks and gratitude on behalf of the passing of my Mother, Lena Vitale, on May 30, 2010.

I would like to start by thanking all who attended Mom’s wake, funeral and burial and everyone who donated (flowers, mass cards, etc) and everyone who has contacted me and my family with kind and encouraging words (via E-Mail, phone calls, etc.).

Mom was a special person and touched many people with her ultimate kindness and love. She had a “Heart of Gold” and there will never be another like her!

I would like to give special thanks to different groups, organizations and individuals contributing their time, concern, professionalism and love. For without their help and dedication, we could not have given such a beautiful send off to such a “Great Lady”.

First, a heartwarming thanks to John and David McKnight of Failla’s Funeral Home. They were amazing at our time of need and their employees are also amazing.

Second thanks goes to Father Michael Guglielmelli, Robert Meyers, Angelo Cerrone and the rest of the St. Francis Church Parrish “Family”. I use the word “Family” because they define “Family” in every sense of the word.

Next thank you goes to the staff and tenants of Marion Towers, including Hattie Ross and Jasmin Balladares. Ms. Ross and Ms. Balladares are two great ladies. Their kindness and professionalism are second to none.

And finally, a debt of gratitude goes to the Hoboken Police Department and the Employees of the City of Hoboken. Thank you, Chief Anthony Falco, Lieutenant Walter Werhan, Sergeant Enrico Gnassi and the rest of the Hoboken Police Traffic Department, along with City Employees James Farina, Richard Reppetti and Patleo Spaccavento.

Mom lived all 89 years of her life in Hoboken and dedicated over 15 years of service as a city worker. All these individuals mentioned and all who participated certainly honored her passing. She will never be forgotten!

Again, Thank you,

Michael M. Cannarozzi
