Funeral mass was offered July 21 at Madonna R.C. Church in Fort Lee for Stephany Stefani, 67, of Fort Lee. She passed away July 19. Stephany was born in Jersey City. She graduated from Emerson High School, class of 1960 and remained an active alumni. She obtained a B.A. from Annhurst College in Connecticut, a M.A. from Jersey City State College in Jersey City, and also completed studies at Columbia University in New York and University of Valencia in Valencia, Spain. She also obtained ESL certification. An administrator and educator who was fluent in Spanish, she was politically active in Hudson County politics, and manager of the family restaurant business “Stefani’s Restaurant” in Union City. She was cousin to Edgar Overstreet, Bruce Zorio, Bernadette Zorio-Gustowarow, Donna Murphy, Michael Marchesani, Guy Malleus, and Dr. Stephanie Malleus-Conlin. Also survived by aunt “Dolly” Lawida and many family and friends. Services arranged by the A.K. Macagna Funeral Home, Cliffside Park.
