Hoboken Fourth Ward/Fourth District

Dear Editor:
On June 8, 2010, I was elected as the Hudson County Democratic Committeewoman for Hoboken Fourth Ward/Fourth District. I sincerely appreciate each and every voter and those who didn’t vote for me and those who weren’t able to vote. The Fourth Ward/ Fourth District gave me some sound advice and suggestions and each one has been very helpful giving me a new perspective to continue functioning as a leader.
My vision is to continue helping individuals and families with opportunities and resources to live with dignity, achieve fullest potential, maintain long-term independence, and become economically self-sufficient. I recognize people are in need of assistance and be provided with quality services. I have and will continue to respect the rights of others and treat them as they would like to be treated. My reputation throughout community is highly regarded because I am a catalyst for change. My prominent role as a committeeperson caters to individual needs and problems in the community, forming a unified force for or against particular issues, actively campaigning for candidates, and mobilizing community residents to vote in elections. This election cannot go unnoticed without thanking God first and foremost, finding strength and comfort through him gives me a better brand new day; sincere appreciation for the Fourth Ward/Fourth District residents and other district well wishes and prayers.
I truly appreciate and thank the other candidates Matthew Calicchio and Gail Johnson and may we all work together for the betterment of the community. Thank you, Hoboken Housing Authority for always supporting me. There are not enough words or love to say about my family who are very important to me; especially my two beautiful children; (La-Shaunda and La-Teesha Ross) for their radiant love and happiness for their mother. My children are beacons in my life and their commitment and hard work is impeccable. My dearest eight year old grandson; Razhone who helped distribute campaign materials throughout the buildings and said “Grandma you must pay your employee.” I did! He was such a big help! My dearest thank you to my friends, colleagues, employer, and clients and last but not least to my companion for always saying he is proud of me.
If anyone needs to reach me please feel free to contact me lrosscommitteewoman@verizon.net. Again, thank you for all of your support, prayers and well wishes.

Sincerely,
La-Trenda Ross
