HOBOKEN – A tiff between a Hoboken blogger and a local critic of the Hoboken mayor has already been discussed in court, and future hearings are anticipated.
The incident driving the complaint and counter complaint occurred in April, when police arrested Hoboken resident Lane Bajardi, a frequent critic of Mayor Dawn Zimmer. Bajardi was arrested because Hoboken blogger Roman Brice alleged to police that Bajardi had assaulted and grabbed Brice’s camera at a school board forum. (Brice, whose blog appears to lean in favor of Zimmer, had posted at least one critical item against Bajardi before.)
Brice posts comments on the internet as “Smarty Jones” and the “Hoboken Horse” and writes a blog called Mile Square View.
After Brice filed a charge with the police, Bajardi filed a counter charge. (See the full story from April here.)
Now, one of Brice’s colleagues in the blogging world has set up a “legal defense” fund for him (click here).
