Funeral services have been held for Marie Lentz, 88, of Holiday City Carefree, Toms River. She passed away June 7 at her home. Born in Jersey City to Edward and Bertha Lentz, she was an honor graduate of Ferris High School in Jersey City. At an early age, Marie’s passion was reading, she spent many hours in the Main Public Library which was located right next to her home. Marie was employed by the Joseph Dixon Crucible Company, Jersey City for 38 years and was the secretary to the president and an officer of the company. She was also a 50 year member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Jersey City. She was predeceased by her parents, and eight siblings: Olga Molzon, Catherine Friedrich, Margaret Maute, Amelia Martin, Bertha Fraser, Edward, Rudy and Henry. Surviving are her sister Frieda Fall, and her two godchildren, Henry Fall and David Fall. Also surviving are her nieces, Brenda Fraser and Suzanne Myszka and her nephews, Rudy Lentz, Paul Lentz, Edward Maute, William Maute and a ‘great niece’, Selena Marie Fall.
