JERSEY CITY — Organizing for America-New Jersey (OFA-NJ) will officially launch its campaign Jersey City VOTE 2010 Canvass Kickoff on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 12:15 p.m. in Journal Square to engage area voters around the fall elections with canvasses, phone banks, and events across the New Jersey on Saturday, June 5.
Saturday’s events in New Jersey are a few of the more than a thousand “VOTE 2010 Kickoff” events happening across the country on June 5th as volunteers begin voter outreach to build support for candidates who will be strong allies for President Obama in Congress. The VOTE 2010 effort to reach out to first time 2008 voters are part of the Democratic Party’s commitment of $50 million in staff and resources for the 2010 elections.
