Funeral mass was held May 11 at St. Joseph of the Palisades R.C. Church for Anna Bakalian, 97. She passed away May 8. She worked as a mender at Neil Embroidery, West New York, retiring at the age of 84. She enjoyed going to Atlantic City casinos, especially Caesar’s. She was the wife of the late John Nish Bakalian and grandson Steven Garda; mother to daughter Rosemarie and her husband Hank Garda and her son Ronald and his wife Gabriella Bakalian; sister to Victoria Fronjian; aunt to Harry Fronjian; grandmother to four grandchildren, Thomas and Jamie Garda, John and Jackie Garda, Ronald and Diana Bakalian Jr., and Maria and Kevin Shroyer, and 16 great granchildren.
