Who’s running, Schillari or a local mayor?

Dear Editor:
I am making several comments in regards to the letter in your editorial page on April 25, 2010 from a Mr. Waddleton and also another concerning the upcoming Primary Election for Sheriff of Hudson County.
I find that Mr. Waddleton is commenting on a Mr. Schillari who is supposedly running for Sheriff. From his letter it sounds as if a North Hudson mayor is really running instead of the alleged candidate. I have followed the accomplishments of Sheriff Juan Perez since he took office in 2008 and note that he has brought that office forward with the help of the officers who support his efforts in law enforcement. Sheriff Perez is really a true law enforcement person and not a politician. If this writer is so concerned about the Sheriff’s Office and its future he should vote for Perez to be re-elected.
I have to also state my confusion with a Christian Araujo running on the Republican line against Perez for Sheriff. Was it not this Mr. Araujo who was standing next to Mr. Schillari on March 10, 2010 at an event in North Bergen advocating Mr. Schillari for Sheriff? Now it appears that Mr. Araujo is running for Sheriff in June, 2010. Is this a ploy to confuse the people? This will not work as the voters are intelligent people and can see past this attempt to deceit and confuse.
We all need to rally behind Sheriff Juan M. Perez in June, 2010 and November, 2010.

Sincerely,
Reynaldo Flores
