A mass of Christian burial was celebrated April 24 at St. Lawrence Church, Weehawken, for Grace Frances Quagliana, 81 of Hoboken. She passed away April 20 at Meadowlands Hospital, Secaucus. Born in Brooklyn, she lived in Hoboken most of her life. She began her career as a teachers’ aide for the Hudson County Vocational School. Once she attained her teacher’s certification, she began teaching at Dickenson High School, P.S. 39, St. Michael’s Grammar School, St. Francis and the OLC School, all in Jersey City. She undoubtedly inspired many young students to reach for the stars. Grace was predeceased by her husband Charles (2000) and her parents Frederick Paone and Grace (Cerasuolo). Surviving to cherish her memory are her two sons Frederick Quagliana and Paschal Quagliana and his wife Karen. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Joy Paone, and many nieces and nephews: Frederick, Rocco, Jr., Dr. Ralph, Michael, Ann Marie Paone, Grace Smith, Lucia Hopkins and Elizabeth Rotellini.
