Pat Belenski for school board

Dear Editor:
I am writing this letter in support of electing Pat Belenski for the Board of Education election on April 20, 2010.
I have known Pat for over 14 years. I can’t remember a time that she was not on a board or committee fighting for what she believed in. From Climate and Culture Committee to her most recent appointment as a Child Court Advocate for New Jersey She has always showed her concern for our children. She is currently working with our Board of Education instituting her Partners in Education Plan. This is a program where the businesses in Secaucus can not only help with the fiscal burden of the budget which will affect our taxes, but also get involved with our children as mentors. She is extremely intelligent, strong, compassionate, and has a great sense of humor.
I have watched Pat, as a single parent, raise her son Sean with love, support and responsibility. He is an amazing young man who reflects his mother’s values. Pat is committed to: being a responsible steward of the town’s children; ensuring that our schools remain strong, that their environment is protected, and that all of the values that make Secaucus the community that it is today remain so. She is a wonderful problem solver, who gains energy from spirited dialogue. She has a strong and committed work ethic and will bring a long-standing, global knowledge of the town to the Board of Education.
Please join me in voting for Pat Belenski on April 20, 2010.
