Hudson County Sheriff’s Officer William Matos Cited as “Sheriff’s Officer of the Year”

Hudson County Sheriff Juan M. Perez proudly announced the award of Hudson County Sheriff’s Officer of the Year 2010 to Officer William Matos, a seven year veteran of the office. Officer Matos was recommended by his supervisors for this award. The officer is experienced in Field Sobriety and DUI, ALCO Breathalyzer Testing, Firearms Instructor, Active Shooter Instructor, Radar procedures, interviewing and interrogations and is a highly trained Communications Officer who is extremely knowledgeable of the various computer systems used to operate the Communications Unit. It is stated that Officer Matos routinely goes above and beyond his job functions to assist a fellow Officer in all areas of Operations. Officer Matos is cooperative and all tasks are performed in a timely and excellent fashion. Matos is extremely well liked and respected by the officers with whom he works both in Operations and in his prior assignment in the Court Bureau. Photo (l to r): Hudson County Sheriff Juan M.
