HOBOKEN — Thirteen candidates are running for four seats on the school board this Tuesday: three three-year terms and one unexpired one-year term.
Apparently, Mayor Dawn Zimmer sent out a letter this week endorsing the “Kids First” slate and saying that an opposing “Real Results” slate may “starve” the schools.
Present board member Maureen Sullivan, who supports Real Results after breaking with Kids First this year, was unhappy with Zimmer’s phrasing, and wrote a letter in response, saying Zimmer needs to “do [her] homework.” She posted it on the Hoboken Revolt website.
Of course, some salty chatter follows.
