SECAUCUS BRIEFS

Trust Fund grant for park?

Secaucus will soon apply for a grant from the Hudson County Open Space Trust Fund to repair and rehabilitate Ivanoski Park, which is sometimes called the “Charles Street Park.” The park is old and dilapidated.
“What we’re hoping to do is get some money from the trust fund to make some improvements to fencing, shrubbery,” Town Councilman Gary Jeffas said recently.
“We’re going to try to address each and every park, especially the smaller parks,” added Mayor Michael Gonnelli. “The back road [where Ivanoski Park is located] is a really good place to start. You’re going to see a lot of improvements in that area over the next few years.”
The Hudson County Open Space Trust Fund gives grants ranging from $15,000 to $100,000
