A solemn blessing was offered April 3 at St. Joseph’s Church, Jersey City for Anthony DiLiberto, 83. A memorial mass will be offered at a later date. He passed away March 28 at Compassionate Care Hospice at the Atrium in Jersey City. Anthony was born in Trenton, was raised in Bayonne and moved to Italy for some time. Upon his return to America, he entered through Ellis Island, a special memory Anthony cherished throughout his life. He then settled in Jersey City. He was a hairdresser, having owned and operated Thomas’ Beauty Salon in two locations, Jersey City and West New York, for over 30 years. Anthony was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and World War II. He is survived by his wife, Florence DiLiberto. Anthony was the father of Louis and his wife Ingrid, Maryann Ranucci and her husband William, Anthony and his wife Monique and the late Joseph DiLiberto. He is survived by his sister Anna Stezaker and grandchildren, Rebecca, Max, Gabriella, Olivia, Tristano and Melia Anna Rose. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
