Dear Editor,
Community Service can mean many different things. Volunteering for an established organization (such as your PTO, the Hoboken Family Alliance, Party with a Purpose, etc.); beginning your own initiative; or donating your space or money. This is a big THANK YOU to several people and local businesses who made the HFA’s “Project Play Spin-athon” a HUGE success! We raised $5,500 that will go toward our goal of replacing the 20 year old defective and dangerous playground equipment/fencing in three sections of Church Square Park.
First and foremost I would like to thank Alicia Warburton, who organized the whole event. Alicia worked tirelessly to get space, instructors, participants and gift bags. Thank you to Club H for donating their space and ALWAYS supporting the HFA in all of our philanthropic and fun family events. Thank you to the Club H instructors Robert, Michelle and Ashley. Your time is valuable and we sincerely appreciate that you donated it to our spin event. I would like to thank Target, A&P and Fleet Feet for their donations of water, energy bars and gift bags. Last, but not at all least, I would like to thank Patrick Southern of “Properties by Southern” and Liberty Realty for sponsoring this event. Patrick Southern and Joe Covello went above and beyond the call of duty with their generosity. There are so many great causes to donate time, money, space and resources to, each of you should know that Project Play, as well as citizens of this City, are grateful to you for your generosity. It is because of you that philanthropic goals are achieved and our community is constantly improved. All citizens should consider this: spending your time and money with organizations who care about you pays off! Liberty Realty, Patrick Southern, Club H, Target, A&P and Fleet Feet support you. You should support them!
