Dear Editor:
During the recent gubernatorial campaign, you may have seen a diverse group of Hoboken citizens wheeling a folding table around town setting up campaign materials for Chris Christie. Little did Christie know that his Hoboken Campaign headquarters was a folding table! But, it was effective. After a long campaign season and a favorable election result, this dedicated group of citizens decided to stay together and form an active group of Republicans living in Hoboken.
Thus, the Republicans of Hoboken was founded.
Our mission is to advance our party’s candidates and ideals through participation in our municipal Republican committee, campaign activism during election season, and the sponsorship of events featuring experts in their fields.
The first of these events is scheduled for Tuesday, March 30th starting with a welcome reception at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. at Amanda’s Restaurant. We are fortunate to have as our featured guest speaker Wall Street Journal columnist John Fund. The topic will be “How Voter Fraud Threatens Our Democracy.”
Advance purchase of tickets is required. To be on our mailing list or register for the March 30th event, please contact us at republicansofhoboken@gmail.com.
