The Hudson School, Hoboken, NJ raised $1,318 through St. Jude Math-A-Thon to help kids battling cancer

Eleven students in grades 5-8 at The Hudson School recently participated in the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® Math-A-Thon® program and raised $1,318 to help kids battling cancer and other deadly diseases at St. Jude, one of the world’s premier pediatric cancer research centers. The children who participated come from Hoboken, Jersey City and Glen Ridge and their communities supported The Hudson School students by making donations in honor of their participation in the program.

“We are very proud of our students for working so hard to raise money for St. Jude through Math-A-Thon,” said Suellen Newman, coordinator of the event. “Our school, students and their communities have helped St. Jude in its work to find cures and save children. We have participated in this worthy cause for almost 30 years and hope that we have taught children the importance of using their skills and talents to help others.”

The Hudson school, founded in 1978, is a coeducational, college preparatory school for children in grades 5-12 who seek a broad and rigorous academic and arts curriculum and want to learn in a small, nurturing environment with dedicated teachers who passionate about their fields of expertise.
