Dear Editor:
I applaud Secaucus mayor Michael Gonnelli’s decision to write a column in your paper on a regular basis.
I found it particularly interesting that in his first column his alluding to the values of Abraham Lincoln, and how he as mayor of Secaucus desires to live up the Lincoln principles. It is my opinion that he is on the right track. However he should not stop there. Actions speak louder than words. He should start the process of renaming Impreveduto Towers back to its original name Lincoln Towers. There is a history behind its original name, Lincoln Towers. There s a history behind that name and site. Old time Secaucus residents still refer to that site and name with fond memories of their younger days.
As the old saying goes, even when you are on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.
