‘Ice balls’ cause trouble

HOBOKEN — Police arrested two juveniles for allegedly assaulting a Hoboken man after the man took offense to “ice balls” being tossed at his car, police said.
The victim was driving to work on Willow Avenue at 2:44 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19 when a group of Hoboken juveniles allegedly hit his windshield with multiple “ice balls” at Sixth Street, he told police.
The victim circled the block to admonish the juveniles, and he met one of them at Eighth and Clinton streets. He exited the vehicle and while he was confronting one of the individuals, another juvenile male allegedly punched him in the face, causing him to fall to the ground, he said.
The victim suffered bruising and cuts on his face and a chipped tooth, but refused medical attention.
Police rounded up some of the juvenile suspects, and the victim indentified two juveniles who allegedly assaulted him.
