A funeral service took place Feb. 17 at the Trinity Reformed Church, West New York, for Alice Martin, 103, of West New York. She passed away Feb. 13 at the Palisades Medical Center. Born in Highbridge, NJ. In addition to being a homemaker, she was actively involved in West New York politics since the 1950s, being a member of the Mayor Armellino and Mayor DeFino associations and since then never missed a parade. She was the wife of the late William Martin; mother of Alice Martin, William G. Martin and Frederick Boyer and his wife Cecelia; grandmother of Katie Boyer and nana to Mary and Joe Scarry and their children and grandchildren. Alice was predeceased by 12 siblings.
