A funeral mass was held Feb. 9 at Our Lady of Peace Parish – St. Mary’s RC Church, Williamstown, for Mary Catherine Burkhard,71, formerly of Jersey City. She passed away Feb. 4 surrounded by her family. Prior to retiring, Mary was a longtime employee of Woolworths and United Jersey Bank in Jersey City. She was giving and always thought of others before herself. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling and was very active in the Holiday City Community. She was involved with the Holiday Sun, their local paper and all of their community affairs. Born in Jersey City, Mary was a life time resident before moving to Williamstown 13 years ago. She was the wife of Raymond A.; mother of Raymond T. Burkhard, Karen Nelson and Kelly Conte; grandmother of Eric, Matthew, Amanda, Nicole, Caroline, Brian and the late Bobby.
