Hoboken police: No one will be charged in pit bull incident

HOBOKEN — Hoboken police and health officials said this week that no one will be given a summons in an incident that took place on Feb. 4 in which three people were taken to the hospital after being attacked by a pit bull dog in an uptown apartment complex.
After numerous police reports were submitted and read by the Reporter, it appeared that the incident started this way: A man was bitten in his apartment by his female roommate’s pit bull dog. The dog had apparently bitten him before and it was reported to police.
The female roommate was not home at the time, but came home while police were there.
A third person who may have been staying with the pair and had a pitbull dog as well was also on the scene.
The first pitbull ended up raging and injuring all three people, according to police. A police sergeant ultimately shot the first dog and it died from one gunshot wound.
