A mass of Christian burial took place Feb. 4 at St. Joseph R.C. Church, Toms River, for Anna Brogno. She passed away Jan. 31 surrounded by her family at their home in Toms River. She was a lifelong resident of Jersey City, where she was owner/operator of a hair salon for many years. Anna enjoyed the love, warmth and time spent with her family and friends. Her sense of humor and fun loving spirit touched the lives of everyone she met. She was predeceased by her husband Frank, her son Frankie, a brother Peter Grompone, and her six sisters: Angelina Lombardo, Madeline Santangelo, Loretta Santangelo, Rose Barci, Carmela Livingston and Mary Gizzi. Surviving are her children, Judith of Jersey City, Michael and his wife Terry of Arroyo Grande, Calif., and a brother, Nicolas Grompone. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Courtney, Jennifer and her husband Jon, and Jonathan; four great-grandchildren, Maddie, Braden, Luke, and Cate; and many loving nieces and nephews.
