Funeral mass was celebrated Feb. 1 at Our Lady of Libera Church, West New York, for Ralph “Chick” Affuso, 75, formerly a lifelong resident of North Bergen. He passed away Jan. 28, at the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick. He was the proprietor of Affuso’s Dugout in North Bergen and later worked as a bus inspector for the Hudson County Schools of Technology in North Bergen. He was the husband of June; son of Catherine and the late North Bergen commissioner Ralph Affuso; father of Lori Munnia and her husband Gary, Ralph P. Affuso and his wife Gina, Dianna Ivanov and Janet DeMarco; brother of Cathy Allen and her husband Jim; and grandfather of Patrick and Thomas Munnia, Christopher Affuso, Alex, Stefan and Jonathan Ivanov and Michael DeMarco. Also survived by nieces and nephews and his pet dog Bubba. Services arranged by the Vainieri Funeral Home, North Bergen.
