A funeral mass took place Jan. 29 at St. John the Baptist Church, Jersey City, for Maxine Ann Acevedo, 65. She passed away Jan. 25. Maxine was born in Newark and lived in Jersey City before moving to Hoboken in 1994. Maxine was a retired receptionist for Christ Hospital, Jersey City. Maxine was active with St. Michael’s Church Shrine of St. Jude, Jersey City. She was the mother of David and Caesar Sperduto, and grandmother of Alec, Olivia and Lucas Sperduto. Maxine’s love and devotion for her children and grandchildren will be be greatly missed. Services arranged by the Riotto Funeral Home, Jersey City.
