A funeral liturgy took place Jan. 27 at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, Hasbrouck Heights, for John J. Scerbo, 93, of Hackensack formerly of West New York. He died on Jan. 24. Before retiring, he was a results investigator for Western Electric in Kearny and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He received his associate’s degree from Pratt Institute. He was predeceased by his wife Rae Scerbo, his sister, Rose Donato, and his brothers Anthony, Louis, Frank, James, Sam and Nicholas Scerbo. He is survived by his sons former Ramsey Mayor John L. Scerbo and his wife Susan of Wantage, and Michael A. Scerbo of Hackensack; his grandchildren John Scerbo and his wife Laura, Keith Scerbo and his wife Roberta, Ryan Scerbo and his wife Kelly, Kerry Graham and her husband Peter and Amy Beck and her husband Robert, and his great grandchildren Andrew, Amanda, Christopher, Aidan, Colin, Emily, Loghan, Madison and Sean. Services arranged by the Costa Memorial Home, Hasbrouck Heights.
