HOBOKEN — The Hoboken Board of Education is hosting a meet-and-greet forum for the community to introduce the two finalists for the superintendent of schools position tonight.
The forum is at 7 p.m. in the Hoboken High School auditorium.
The two final candidates are Dr. Frank Romano, the assistant superintendent in Fort Lee, and Dr. Gale Griffin, a top-level administrator in Newark, according to board member Ruth McAllister.
McAllister said she is very impressed with the two candidates, and is interested to see community reactions. Romano, she said, has a strong background in school operations and Griffin’s main expertise is in school programming.
She said Romano has no relation to former school board member, police captain, and county Freeholder Anthony Romano. – TJC
