STAYING WITH HIS ROOTS!

1/24/10

Union City’s Ronald A. Dario Jr. believes that anyone expanding commercially, etc. should remember his roots, and that is what he did with his law practice!
Born in Hoboken, Mr. Dario, Jr., was raised in Union City and is a graduate of Emerson High School. After graduation, he entered Rutgers University/New Brunswick Campus and achieved a bachelor of science degree in political science and economics in 1990. Following that, he entered New York’s Brooklyn Law School and achieved a Juris Doctorate Degree in 1995.
Afterward, he entered the law firm of Leanza and Agrapedis in Hackensack, Bergen County, for five years. Frank Leanza is currently the municipal court judge for the town of Guttenberg, and is also a North Hudson County resident. Finally, after passing the New Jersey and New York bar examinations in 1995, and his law firm experience in Bergen County, he decided to open-up his own law firm, and stayed with his roots in Union City, joined with a partner named Jay Yacker, and formed the law firm of Dario and Yacker, LLC, both in Union City as well as offices in Fort Lee, in Bergen County.
His professional climb is now complete, and he feels that he is in a good place, career-wise, and just enjoys helping old friends and neighbors in Union City with their legal needs, which also keeps him up on neighborhood affairs and community happenings!
Mr. Dario goes on to tell us of his family background, which is well known in Union City. He is the son of deceased Union City elected commissioner and state Assemblyman Ronald A. Dario Sr., and his lovely mother Claire, who was born in Hoboken, and is now living in Ocean County, New Jersey. He also has two sisters named Laurie Blake, now living in Bergen County, and Cheryl Conklin, who now lives in Union County.
His father, former Commissioner/Assemblyman Dario, was a Democrat turned Republican, and originally began his political career within the political organization of legendary and now deceased Union City mayor and State Senator William V. Musto. Furthermore, Mr. Dario, Sr., was also a Union City high school football player of great renown. The Union City Recreation Department even named a swimming pool complex after Mr. Dario, Sr., at 47th Street in the city.
Ron Dario, Jr. tells us that he at least followed his father into football, and became All State in New Jersey football rankings. As for his law career, he followed his father’s advice, but his mother wanted him to become a medical doctor. Ron, Jr. wanted to be a professional baseball player, but somewhere along the way he was thrown a “Curve ball,” he laughs, and a law career was the correct decision!
Mr. Dario tells us that he is married to his lovely wife Lorraine who was born in Jersey City, and their three sons, Aidan, and twin sons Roman and Justin.
Mr. Dario tells us that his law firm has grown since his partnership with Mr. Yacker, and that two more offices have been added, one in Clifton, and another in Manhattan. Their practice consists of general law, meaning they are proficient in personal injury, marital, corporate, criminal, bankruptcy, tax law, etc., and that their firm now also has other partners who perform their own specialty within these laws as well as others, for the firm!
Ron Dario, Jr. tells us that he is entering into 15 years as an attorney, and wants to give back to the community of his youth by being a good lawyer for them! He is a professional member of the American Bar Association and the North Hudson Lawyers Association. As for leisure time, he is a New York Yankee fan and a New York Giants fan. In 2008, he participated in the New York Triathlon for his own personal pleasure of completing it! He is also an avid chess player, and always finds time for sports with his children. He is also an author of a law book entitled “Issues and Legal Research,” and became the recipient of the American Juris Prudence Award, from the Lawyers Cooperative Publishing Company in Chicago, Ill.
As for music, he likes R & B Music, and as for travel, he has visited Italy, Greece, France, Hong Kong, Hawaii, and the Caribbean. As for politics, Mr. Dario tells us that unlike his father, he would rather remain in the background, and was recently involved as the treasurer for the Kimberly Glatt for mayor campaign in 2009 in Hoboken. He says that he did like the experience of involvement, and meeting new people. Union City Deputy Mayor Nicholas Mastorelli tells us that Ron Dario, Sr. was an old friend of his, and that his son Ron, Jr. is a fine accomplished young man, who was also inducted into the Emerson High School Hall of Fame for Football, and who has also developed a successful law firm in Union City, of which he ought to be commended! Ron Dario Jr. — All the best!!! …
