A funeral mass took place Jan. 18 at St. Rocco’s Church, Union City, for William J. Hoerman, 81, of North Bergen for 50 years, formerly of Union City. He passed away Jan. 14 at Englewood Hospital. Born in Altoona, Pa. he was a retired sanitation foreman for Hostess Wonder Bread in East Brunswick. He was a U.S Army veteran of Korea. He was a secretary with the Homestead Seniors, member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion post 33 post officer. He was the husband of Margaret (nee Berens); father of Mary Jean Evanoff, William P. Hoerman, Lois Kempa and Richard Hoerman, and brother of Carl Hoerman. He is also survived by six grandchildren and a cousin, Ute Gruenfelder. Services arranged by the Vainieri Funeral Home, North Bergen.
