HUDSON COUNTY —Former state Sen. Thomas Cowan died on Sunday at the age of 82.
Cowan had been an assemblyman representing Hudson County’s 32nd District from 1978 to 1984 and then a state senator from 1984 to 1994.
The 32nd District includes Secaucus, North Bergen, part of Jersey City, East Newark, Kearny, Harrison, and Fairview.
