Man jumps to his death from eighth floor of luxury Tea Building Eli Manning also a resident

HOBOKEN — Sunday morning, a man apparently jumped to his death around 7:20 a.m. from the luxury Tea Building at the head of Hoboken’s main drag, Washington Street, according to NJ.com’s Hoboken Now.
The building, a converted Lipton Tea factory, is home to many high-earning residents including New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, and boasts Manhattan skyline views.
The internet site notes: “Several officers, including Chief Anthony Falco, went into the apartment to investigate. Later, a detective arrived on the scene along with a member of the state Medical Examiner’s Office, but police declined to release any further details pending notification of the victim’s family…The tragedy comes on the heels of Artie Lange’s recent suicide attempt in his apartment at the Shipyard just a few blocks from the Tea Building.”
This wasn’t the first suicide at the Tea Building. In November of 2008, a woman found her roommate dead in their condo there, apparently from a suicide.
