A funeral mass was offered Jan. 5 at St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Hoboken, for Frances Swendeman, 69, of West New York, formerly from Hoboken. She passed away Dec. 31 peacefully in the Hospice Unit of Jersey City Medical Center. Frances was born in Hoboken and lived there most of her life. She was a clerical worker for Sears in Jersey City for many years. She was predeceased by her husband Richard and also her sisters Rita Totaro, Annette Totaro, and Ann Pasquarello. Frances was the mother of Christopher and his fiancée Erin, sister of Philomena Jennings, Rosemarie Foley, and Ralph Totaro, and grandmother of Craig.
