WNY building’s construction still in debate

Last Monday, residents from West New York and that town’s Zoning Board of Adjustments gathered at a meeting to discuss the construction proposal of a 22-story building. Park Terrace LLC has asked the board to approve the development of the building with 243 units that would be built on what are currently parking lots on 57th Street and Park Avenue.
Though the room was full of residents opposing the proposal, also in attendance were those who represented Park Terrace LLC and that insisted the construction should be allowed.
The application includes variances for height, density, parking, driveway opening, front yard, rear yard, floor area ratio, parking space size, and drive aisle width.
No decision has been made yet by the board. The next meeting to discuss the matter will be held on Jan. 28.
