Funeral services were held Dec 10 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Jersey City, for Dorothy C. Badger. She passed away Dec. 7 at home. She had been employed at the Jewish Rehabilitation for 22 years as a nurse’s aide. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church since she was 16 years old and was an Eastern Star. She was the wife of the late Dewey Badger, Sr.; the mother of Melvin Badger, Sr. and Barbara Badger and the late Dewey Badger, Jr. and Pernona Badger; the grandmother of Melvin Badger, Jr. and Tavian Nelson; the great-grandmother of one; the mother-in-law of Allison Badger; the aunt of State Sen. Sandra Cunningham, Faye James and Willamae Taylor, and the friend and companion of Fred Harrington Sr. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
