Taxpayers on the positives of keeping Hoboken University Medical Center open

HOBOKEN — With Hoboken’s only hospital facing severe financial problems, and taxpayers who stand to lose money, there’s often negativity regarding the hospital. But former Councilman Tony Soares started a discussion today on the Hoboken Tax Revolt group’s website about those who have had positive experiences with the hospital. He asks: Where would you go if it closed?
He also points out that it doesn’t just serve the needy, who often go there because they have inadequate insurance.
