Funeral mass was celebrated Dec. 11 at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Secaucus, for Ronald A. Kosky, Sr., 73. He passed away Dec. 6 at his residence with his family at his side. Ronald was a retired N.J.D.O.T. mechanic and a school bus driver for the Secaucus Board of Education. Ronald was an active member of the Secaucus Fire Department for 50 years. He served as chief of the department in 1983-1984. He served as president of the Secaucus Exempt Association and the Fireman’s Relief Association. He currently was the Hudson County Executive Committeeman of the NJ Exempt Fireman’s Association. Ronald also was a member of the NJ State Fire Chief’s Association, a life member of the NJ State Exempt Fireman’s Association, NJ State Fireman’s Relief Association and South Bergen Fire Chief’s Association. Ronald was named the 2008-2009 Fireman of the year for Mary Immaculate Council 12769. Ronald was the husband of Norma (nee Clisura) for 51 years; he was the father of Ronald Jr., and his wife Kristin and Kevin Kosky; the grandfather of Eric; the brother of Albert and his wife Elizabeth, and the brother-in-law of Eleanor Beckmeyer.
